it’s day 1, post almost- as-good-as-nonna’s-gnocchi, and heading towards mid afternoon. what is tempting palates to do? unwind and relax with drinks of course. again, we head off in search of a place that we were told about – a trendy little cafe of sorts.
rue bebelons, 267 little lonsdale street. it’s tucked away in an alley in such a way that if you didn’t know what you were looking for, you would walk past it. walk in and you’re glad that you didn’t.
coffee is from 9am; lunch 11 til 4; pizza 4 til late; records day and night. there is a huge collection of vinyl records behind the bar. and roses … lots of them.
red is the preferred colour choice for the decor.
two of the girls order espresso martinis – cariel vanilla vodka, coffee liqueur with fresh espresso.
and the rest of us decide to try the pimms cup (to share via a cocktail jug) – it’s a classic punch cocktail. pimms with strawberry, orange, cucumber, mint & lemonade.
it’s the place for creative souls – a haven for readers, writers and music lovers. it’s a place that’s cosy. it’s the perfect place to relax and chat.
